Marion County Public Health staff can assist with many aspects of Medicaid and other health insurance concerns.

Director Kim Dorn and Assistant Director Rachel Cecil tell KNIA/KRLS News their office is willing to assist those who have questions about their coverage.

Questions about how to get covered, what options are available based on income and the Hawk-i program for children can be addressed. Insurance can be a complicated topic, especially at a time when politics dictate the future of how coverage works in the state and the nation, but Public Health will do their best to assist anyone who contacts them and help them to get the care they need.

The deadline to enroll in coverage through healthcare.gov is December 15. Marion County Public Health can be reached at (641) 828-2238.
