With all of the inexperience for the Knoxville Girls Basketball Squad, the Panthers are now gradually starting to make progress with what they need to do on the court. Coach Jim Uitermarkt tells KNIA/KRLS Sports two new players to the varsity roster, Alex Griggs and Hannah Swan are starting to get more comfortable with what they do. Uitermarkt adds last year many of the girls were playing on the J-V level when only around 50 people were in the stands. Now they play in the varsity games where there could be three times as many people on hand. He says for some of the players it could be a full season process of getting comfortable on the court.
