Southeast Polk swept the Pella bowling teams last night at Pella Excit-a-Bowl.
The Pella boys lost a close battle to the Rams. The Dutch were leading after the first round 1792 – 1762 and managed to extend their lead to 60 after the first three baker games. Ultimately, Southeast Polk batted back and won 2704 – 2688. Pella was led by Matt De Jong with a team high 233 game and 411 two game series.
On the girl’s side, it was a tough loss to a talented Rams squad, 2336 – 1954. The Lady Dutch we led by Taylor Divelbiss, who had another stellar performance with a team high game of 164 and topped her own school record two game series with a 303. The team’s 1954 final score also topped last weeks school record of 1900.
The Pella bowling teams are back in action this afternoon at 3:45 in Newton in a make up of Saturday’s match that was cancelled due to winter weather.
