Pella Christian’s bowling teams return to action this Saturday after opening the season with a pair of narrow victories last weekend against Bondurant-Farrar.

As the Eagles prepare to host Knoxville, coach Rod Blunck says that a big focus in the early part of the season has been working on converting their spare opportunities.

“One of the guys tonight said ‘I finally figured out how to do it’, and I told him ‘Yeah, you can throw five strikes in a game and not hit 100’, so those spares are very important and that’s one thing we really need to work on.”

The Pella Christian versus Knoxville contest starts at 1:00 Saturday afternoon at the Pella Excit-a-Bowl.
