Coming off a doubleheader sweep of Marion County rival Melcher-Dallas on Tuesday night, the Pleasantville Trojan basketball teams have a quick turnaround and play Central Decatur tonight.

The 1-1 girls squad has a tough task ahead facing the returning conference co-champions, and the Cardinals returned every player from a 23-2 squad minus just one.

On the boys side they were hampered by a slow start in their season opener against the Saints, but eventually pushed ahead for the blowout victory. Despite the lopsided score, Pleasantville Head Coach Joel Allman said the team had a lot of work to do this week if they were going to be ready to take on the Cardinals.

The girls will tip off at 6pm in Leon, with the boys to follow at 7:30. Tune in during the Marion County Morning Magazine for a full recap of tonight’s game.
