Facing Pride of Iowa Conference rival Wayne, the Pleasantville Boys Basketball Team would stay undefeated on the young season getting a 59-40 win.

The Trojans got another strong performance from senior point guard Brady Elder who put in 19, but it the was the Trojan big men of Devon Durksy, Kyle Amendt and seeing his first action of the season Mac Harken that impressed Pleasantville Head Coach Joel Allman the most.

The Trojan girls built up a big 30-19 halftime lead against the Falcons but could not hold on for a 48-43 loss. After halftime the Falcons switched to a man defense, combined with ice-cold Trojan shooting, and Pleasantville ended up being outscored 29-13. Kelsee Van Haalen once again led the scoring with 12, and Abbie McVay also contributed to 12.

The boys improve to 3-0, the girls fall to 1-3, and both will play this Friday at home against Martensdale-St. Mary’s.
