After a brutal schedule that included facing two top ten teams already in Central Decatur and I-35, the schedule does not let up for the Pleasantville Trojan Girls Basketball Team. After the holiday break, the Trojans will continue their tough Pride of Iowa Conference schedule with a rematch against Central Decatur, a one-loss Nodaway Valley team, and class 3A school Chariton in their first week back.

Over the break, the Trojans will work on sticking with teams even if they are down in score, and learn how to play their best the whole game. Head Coach Aaron Fichter told KNIA/KRLS Sports, that the team has had trouble competing through all four quarters in some losses.

Coach Fichter
“I kind of felt like that’s the thing that has gotten us in some early losses, where we played really well for maybe 25 of the 32 minutes and we have to find a way to put it all together”

The Trojans are 1-5 on the season, and play Central Decatur on January 3rd after the holiday break.
