The Knoxville Basketball Squads return to South Central Conference play tonight hosting Davis County. The Panther boys got its most lopsided win in conference against the Mustangs, a 15-point decision, back in December. While many of the high school teams in the area are rounding off into the home stretch into the regular season, Coach Jeff Larson is keeping his players focused on the immediate goal ahead, the conference championship. The Panthers could take a huge step toward that South Central Conference title tonight with a win. Knoxville could have as much as a three game lead with four to play if the Panthers win and Chariton loses tonight. The girls meanwhile, will try to put the nightmare of Tuesday night’s Pella loss behind them. The Panthers lost to Davis County in overtime in Bloomfield earlier on, a game that the Panthers held at 10-point lead at the half. You can hear the play-by-play on AM 1320 and 95.3 KNIA and kniakrls.com. The Knoxville Athletic Hall of Fame inductions will also carried live in between games.
