Knoxville Hospital and Clinics has had more four-legged visitors than usual in the past month.

Activities Director Linda Debold tells KNIA/KRLS News a pet therapy program started in December has six dogs visiting patients and staff. She says the dogs are just as popular with hospital staff as they are with patients. Two of the dogs are internationally registered therapy dogs. Tuesday a golden retriever named Sy walked the halls with his owner. A dog visits Knoxville about three times a week as part of the program.
