An ice storm late Sunday into Monday morning prompted closures throughout the area and caused treacherous travel conditions.

According to reports received by the National Weather Service, .25” of ice accumulated in Knoxville, .15” fell in Monroe, and many other areas in the region received similar amounts, according to estimates provided by the National Weather Service.
