The Pella High bowling teams both beat Centerville yesterday afternoon at Excit-a-Bowl.

The Lady Dutch grabbed their second victory of the season, 1,895-1,573. Taylor Divelbiss led the team with a high game of 149 and high series of 272. Kirsten Veenstra was not far behind with a 268 series. Other round 1 scores of note include Maddy Cubbage’s new personal best game (129) and series (233), and Erica Bossard was just 1 pin shy of her personal best game with a 131. The Lady Dutch really turned things up in the baker round shooting a new school record 181 in game 2, coupled all baker games over 100 and a 177 game 5 help them post a new girls team record baker round score of 686.

On the boys side, the Dutch posted their third straight victory and set a new team record match total with an impressive 2,861-1,976 win. Several more team records as well as a few personal best scores were rolled as the Dutch set a new round 1 team score of 1,943. Derek Hackman posted a new team record individual game score of 257 while on his way to a new personal best series (412). Jaden Ruth also had a new personal best game (230). Not to be out done, Matt De Jong shot a new personal best game (234) and led all bowlers while setting a new team record for a round 1 series (447).
