At policy and planning following regular business Tuesday, the Pella City Council went over their upcoming fiscal year budget and long-term capital improvement plans.

City Administrator Mike Nardini says over the past few months, city departments highlighted their five-year priorities at various council meetings. He says this discussion is the first part of the process of determining the city’s long-term goals.

The priorities included the possibility of community wide broadband, updates at the Pella Public Library, Community Center, and Public Safety Complex, as well as the next series of street corridor reconstruction and repairs.
