The Pella basketball teams are hoping to continue their early-season success in the Little Hawkeye Conference tonight on a road trip to Oskaloosa.

Following their first loss of the regular season, the 8-1 and No. 1 in 4A Lady Dutch look to right the ship against a struggling Indians team that’s lost five in a row and has yet to earn a conference win.

Fresh off an overtime thriller with Newton, Head Coach Mark Cores says 7-1 Pella’s boys will have to continue to navigate a deep and competitive conference, this time against an improved Osky team.

The Indians only have one conference win to their credit — an overtime comeback against Pella Christian in the LHC opener. Since then, they’ve lost to Grinnell, Newton, and Norwalk. Jared Kruse (16.4), Jack Moore (14.4), and Cole Henry (14.2) are the leading scorers for Oskaloosa.

Coverage from Oskaloosa for Pella’s doubleheader begins at 6 p.m. on 92.1 KRLS, with Andrew Schneider, Brian Vande Lune, and Mike Buchheit calling the action.
