Keegan Poole finished second, while both Ashton Messer and Sam Fredrickson took third place as the Pella High wrestling team competed Saturday at the Little Hawkeye Conference tournament.

Poole was second at heavyweight, losing a close 1-0 decision to Eagan Lickess of Indianola in the final.

Both Messer, at 170, and Fredrickson, at 138, won their quarterfinal matches before losing to wrestlers from Indianola in the semifinals and winning in the consolation semis.

Messer then beat Jack Livingston of Norwalk by fall to take third, while Fredrickson pinned Wyatt Dillon of Grinnell for third.

The Little Dutch finished 7th place as a team. Indianola won the LHC title, convincingly, in their first year in the league. The Indians scored 244.5 points, 45 more than second place Dallas Center-Grimes.
