The Pella basketball teams will attempt to repeat a sweep of Norwalk tonight, this time on the road.

The Little Dutch look to continue to ride a recent defensive surge after the two engaged in a back-and-forth classic the first time they met in December, a battle Pella won 61-60 in the final seconds with a Nick Finney layup.

Assistant Coach Phil Hemming says defense has been the biggest key during the second trip through the conference, and will need to be against a talented Warriors backcourt.

The No. 4 in Class 4A Lady Dutch are looking to get back to their winning ways after dropping three of their last four to Grinnell and Indianola–both top-three teams in their respective classes.

Pella’s girls are unlikely going to find the same kind of resistance as their rivals at the top of the conference standings — the Norwalk girls have dropped eight straight overall by an average margin of 25 points per contest. The Lady Dutch drubbed the Warriors 71-30 in their December meeting.
