After a rough start to 2017 that was the tail end of a three game losing streak, the Pleasantville Trojan Boys Basketball Team won their second game in a row taking down Chariton at home 63-60.

Getting leading scorer Brady Elder back into the lineup was key for the Trojans, as he put in 25 with junior guard Gauge Van Haalen dropping 21 as the Trojans fielded their full lineup for the first time in 2017. The boys improve to 5-3 on the season.

Despite a strong second half put together, the Trojan girls lost to the Chargers 70-39. Kelsee Van Haalen and Abby DeJoode led the team with eight points apiece, Abbie McVay put in six, and Madyson Thill had five as the girls drop to 1-8.

Both Trojan teams get right back at it on Tuesday at Southeast Warren.
