The Marion County Engineer’s office reports that area roadways are improving.
Paved roads may be slushy and slick. Rock roads remain slick, and maintainers are grading emergency routes first, and then will move to known trouble spots. Officials warn of overnight refreezing. Marion County Sheriff Jason Sandholdt urges caution while driving, and would like to thank area residents for their cooperation in staying off the roadways this morning. The tow ban is in effect until 1:30 p.m. today, and owners of the vehicles will have until dusk to recover their vehicles. The one to count on for today’s severe weather and road condition information is KNIA/KRLS.
