The Pella Christian bowling teams were short-handed Saturday afternoon against Newton at the Excit-a-Bowl, and that showed in the results as the Cardinals won both the girls and boys matches.

The girls score was 1924-1496, with Roseane Meinders and Amanda Harrill leading the way for Pella Christian with two game scores of 239 and 204, respectively.

The boys score was 2770-2103, with Max Kolb’s 352 and Kyle Sneller’s 312 marking the Eagles’ best two game scores.

Pella Christian was short-handed due to sickness and winterim serve projects, but coach Rod Blunck tells KNIA/KRLS sports that they’ll turn Saturday’s defeats into a learning experience as they get back to practice this week.
