The Pleasantville Trojans got a pair of wins on the road on Tuesday night at Martensdale St. Marys.

The girls won 50-43 and the boys escaped a thriller 70-66. The Trojan girls got the biggest turnaround from a month ago when the Trojans fell at home to the Blue Devils by 15. The Trojans would play a very stingy zone defense that would bottle up the Blue Devil offense. Pleasantville was led by junior Kelsee Van Haalen and her 13 points while sophomore Jordan Dursky would have her shot dropping from outside allowing her to score 10 points on the night. The Trojans get their fourth win of the season and will head to Lenox on Friday for their last road game of the year. The Pleasantville boys would have another thriller with the Blue Devils as the first match up went to overtime in Pleasantville back on December 9th. With the game tied at halftime 29-29 the Trojans would have an eruption of scoring from senior Brady Elder who finished with 28 points leading the Trojans. Elder would come up with a crucial steal with the clock running down on the Blue Devils and eventually ice the game from the free throw line.
Elder would sink two final free throws to end the game securing the four point win and moving the Trojans to 9-5 on the year. The Trojans will head to Lenox on Friday for the last road game of the year before returning home for four straight home games to end the regular season.
