The Knoxville Racing Charitable Organization held their 6th Annual Fundraising Extravaganza on Saturday night at Dyer-Hudson Hall on the Marion County Fairgrounds.
The night was successful as a packed house of eager bidders filled the hall to bid on donated items with the proceeds going to the KRCO, which uses the donations to help pay for safety equipment and to help injured drivers. Sprint car driver Jamie Ball tells KNIA/KRLS News he attended Saturday’s fundraiser because it’s a good cause and one he still feels indebted to. Ball says after a crash in 2012 the KRCO helped him and his family take care of medical bills and other crash related issues. The event featured a catered meal from the Knoxville Hy-Vee as well as donated items from area businesses, drivers, and sprint car fans that were bid on during both a silent and live auction
