Nine area high school wrestlers are set to take part in the Iowa High School State Wrestling Tournament this week at the Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines.

The Pleasantville Trojans lead all area schools as they send four wrestlers starting with Sawyer Phillips at 152 pounds, Griffen McBride at 160 pounds, Chaz Clark at 220 pounds and Heavyweight Will Anthony. The PCM Mustangs are next on the list with three qualifiers in Xavier Miller at 145 pounds, Lucas Roland at 160 pounds and Jarron Trausch at 170 pounds. The Knoxville Panthers and Pella Little Dutch will also be represented at the state tournament as Knoxville sends Matthew Landsperger at 195 pounds and Pella sends Keegan Poole at Heavyweight for the second straight year. The state tournament will start on Thursday, February 16th and will finish up on Saturday, February 18th.
