Both wrestling in front of their home fans for the last time this season in a unique doubleheader at P.H. Kuyper Gymnasium, the Central College and Pella High wrestling teams each earned victories last night.
The big Dutch started off the evening with a 28-9 Iowa Conference victory over Luther, then the Little Dutch got their first Little Hawkeye Conference win of the season – 42-32 over Oskaloosa.
Central won the first six matches against the Norse to improve to 9-2 on the season and 5-2 in IIAC action.
Pella got a pair of Oskaloosa forfeits to start its match on the right foot, and never trailed. Lane Rodamaker, Sam Fredrickson and Luke Roose got pin fall victories as Pella pulled away.
The Little Dutch are 8-10 in dual meets and 1-5 in the LHC.
