Snow and wind made for difficult driving conditions Friday afternoon, evening and continues into this morning.

Approximately 1-2″ of snow fell countywide, with gusty winds that knocked down visibility during the evening hours.

The Iowa DOT reported numerous snow and ice covered roadways, including Highway 163 and Highway 14. On and off ramps are reported to be particularly slick.

The Marion County Road Department started treating paved roads at 6 a.m. Temperatures are expected to remain below or at freezing until a quick warm-up Sunday.
