The Knoxville Boys Basketball Squad ended a ten game 16-year losing streak to P-C-M last night with a 71-60 victory over the Mustangs. The Panthers led throughout and got balanced scoring led by Patrick Crawford’s 21 points. Coach Jeff Larson told KNIA/KRLS Sports the lead was just one at the half…but the offence came alive in the third quarter with 28 points and the lead got as high as 18 before settling for the 11 point win. Chase Larson scored 15 points and Blake McClung added 11 for Knoxville who improves to 13-5 on the season. For P-C-M, Coach Fred Lorensen told KNIA/KRLS Sports it came down to not hitting shots. Jackson Thomas led the Mustangs with 18 points and Derek Brown had 16. P-C-M falls to 9-10 on the season and will travel to North Polk tonight while Knoxville is off until Thursday when the Panthers host Grinnell.
