The South Central Conference season now completed, the Knoxville Basketball Squads will finish out the regular season with non-conference challenges beginning tonight with Grinnell. The girls will play their regular season finale as they prepare for the regional which starts next week. The Panthers are facing a Grinnell team that nearly beat Class 5A top ranked Indianola on Tuesday. This is also one of a possible two matchups between the two former Little Hawkeye Conference teams in a week as Knoxville would travel to Grinnell should the Panthers beat Des Moines Hoover in the regionals. For the boys, they are coming off a win over P-C-M on Monday and take on a very physical Grinnell that Coach Jeff Larson knows will go inside, something his team has struggled with, but is working to get better at. In two of their last three games…the Panthers have struggled to make shots from the outside in the first half, but caught fire and won both of those games over Chariton and Eddyville-Blakesburg.
