Are you in need of assistance with your energy bill?

The Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program, most commonly referred to as LIHEAP helps low-income families afford energy bills that can sometime seem out of reach during the winter months. LIHEAP-qualified households may receive a one-time per year payment to assist with their household heating costs. Chris Hallinan, with LIHEAP tells KNIA/KRLS News in an effort to spread the word about the program, Marion County representatives will be visiting different communities across the county, LIHEAP representatives will be at Crossroads of Pella today from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and at City Hall in Bussey Wednesday from 1p.m. to 4p.m. taking applications for the program.

Here are some other locations and dates when they are coming to Marion County: February 21st, Webb Shadle Memorial Library in Pleasantville 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
February 23rd, Melcher Public Library 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
