The Marion County Republican Central Committee hosted an event Thursday to honor local law enforcement around Marion County.

The event was a chance for residents to give thanks to local law enforcement for protecting and serving our communities. During the honoring, a proclamation was given as well as gifts to all the departments that attended. Park Officer Rich Paris with the Marion County Conservation Board tells KNIA/KRLS News it’s nice to see the appreciation from the community for the jobs they do. Paris added that he knows Marion County residents know what they do for the community but sometimes it can be hard to show that appreciation. State Senator Amy Sinclair as well as Marion County Board Supervisor Craig Agan attended the event.
