The Knoxville Boys Basketball Squad can become outright South Central Conference champions tonight with a win over Chariton. The Panthers enter with a 10-0 conference record and a two game lead on the Chargers and a win tonight or a win tomorrow night against Eddyville-Blakesburg would net the Panthers a title. Coach Jeff Larson has tried to keep things loose in practice at this time of the season. He tells KNIA/KRLS Sports they still get in and work, and the coaches are trying to keep things fun. While the girls cannot win the conference, they can still have a say in who does win. After Tuesday’s loss to Eddyville-Blakesburg, the conference comes down to a Chariton win tonight and Eddyville and the Chargers will share…however a Knoxville victory would knock the Chargers out of contention and give the outright title to the Rockets.
