After more than a week of waiting and practicing, the day has finally come for the PCM Mustang Girls Basketball Team to play in the class 3A state tournament this afternoon.

The Mustangs will take on the 24-0, #1 ranked Sioux Center Warriors, but PCM is confident heading into the game PCM Head Coach Jeff Lindsay told KNIA/KRLS Sports. He went on to say that it hasn’t mattered all season long who the Mustangs are playing, they just want to go out and play their type of basketball.

“I just think that the girls are more worried about what we can do, and hopefully our defense continues to play like it has been. I think we’ll have our work cut out for us, but I believe in these girls and I believe what they are capable of doing, and we’ll go up there and we’ll give them a game.”

PCM vs Sioux Center will be broadcast live on AM 1320 and FM 95.3 KNIA with pregame starting at 11:30 and tip off from Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines is scheduled for 11:45, Andrew Swadner and Fred Lorensen will have the play-by-play.
