The Pella City Council advanced two ordinances involving the Board of Adjustment at their meeting this week.

Assistant City Administrator Corey Goodenow says the council held the second reading of an ordinance better defining special use permits. He says the other allows the Board of Adjustment to grant minor modifications instead of having to consider frequently-used variances for new or expanding buildings.

Both will be reviewed in a third reading on March 7th.
