A long standing temperature record has been broken today in Marion County.

The previous all-time high on February 17th was 67 set in 1948. The afternoon high has topped out near 73 degrees throughout much of the county.

More near-record warmth is expected through at least the middle of next week. The record high is 68 (2011) on Saturday, 73 (1930) on Sunday and 66 (1930) on Monday.
