Renowned Iowa author Michael Chapman will speak at the Iowa State Flag Day event on Wednesday, March 29th.

Chapman will deliver his “Iowans of Impact” program. Chapman, a retired newspaper editor, is also a well-known Iowa historian. He has been the featured speaker at over 200 events. In 2008, Chapman and his wife, Bev, founded Iowa History Journal, a magazine devoted to the preservation of history in Iowa. Chapman tells KNIA/KRLS News he thinks it’s a wonderful thing Knoxville does to celebrate Iowa Flag Day and Dixie Cornell Gebhardt and he is honored to be apart of the event. Chapman will speak at 1 p.m. inside the Knoxville Public Library
