While the conference does not recognize a soccer champion…Knoxville does not care. Since joining the S-C-C, the boys have never lost a match going a combined 12-0 the first two seasons. With only Centerville, Chariton and Albia as conference opponents, the South Central Conference says it needs at least one more school to start a soccer program. While the Panthers await that, they have made it one of their goals the last two seasons to sweep their fellow conference foes. Coach Dylan Mick tells KNIA/KRLS this year Chariton could provide the biggest challenge to his team. Mick adds he hears every year that one or two of the other schools in the South Central Conference is going to start soccer, but until then they will continue to play three other schools twice to make a six game conference schedule.
