Knoxville City Council Member Dawn Allspach-Kline will resign effective April 3rd.

Allspach-Kline stated in an email Monday that she is in the process of relocating with her husband and will not be living in Knoxville full time after April 3rd. Allspach-Kline wrote, “I thoroughly appreciate the residents of Knoxville giving me the opportunity to represent them on the City Council for the past 3 1/2 years. I am proud of our collective achievements and the progress that has been made to improve our city.” Knoxville City Manager Aaron Adams tells KNIA/KRLS News the city will add multiple agenda items to the next city council meeting on April 3rd that could include the appointment of a new Mayor Pro-Tem as well as discussions about the city’s options moving forward.
