The Knoxville School Board met in regular session on Monday.

One of the areas of emphasis during the meeting was the 2017-2018 certified budget. The board reviewed the budget and set a date of April 10th to hold a public hearing. The budget will be published for public knowledge on March 23rd but Knoxville School’s Superintendent Cassi Pearson tells KNIA/KRLS News there is some good news for Knoxville residents in the budget. Pearson says with a decreased tax rate for Knoxville property taxes, property tax payers will being paying the Knoxville School District less money next year. The Knoxville School Board will next meet on Monday, March 27th in the Knoxville School Administration Building in the Board of Education meeting room.
