The Pella FFA chapter celebrated National FFA Week by having class competitions in the agriculture classes.

Ag Teacher Jacob Bowers says students competed in hay bale stacking, pedal tractors, welding darts, truck show, and competed at subdistricts last week, and says it gave them the opportunity to get outside the classroom and participate in more hands on activities.

Senior Chander Jahner tells KNIA/KRLS News FFA has been an important part of his education. Local chapters, including Knoxville and Pleasantville, held activities throughout the past few weeks to recognize National FFA Week.

The Pella FFA also hosted a truck show for students taking agriculture classes on Friday, February 24. The FFA sweetheart court judged the trucks and chose the winners for the following categories; best rims, best lightbar, and most redneck. The winner of best rims was Cody Tooley, best lightbar was Brandon Westerkamp, and most redneck was Zack DeBruin.
