In a first-of-its-kind selection show, the Pella Christian and Pella High boys basketball teams learned their draw for next week’s state tournament.

In class 2-A, Pella Christian earned the number two seed, and will open the tournament next Tuesday in a regular season rematch against Van Meter. The Eagles handed the Bulldogs their only loss, 63-51, in Van Meter on February 4th.

Game time is at 10:30 Tuesday morning.

Pella will also open the 3-A tournament on Tuesday, as the third-seeded Little Dutch will play Sergeant Bluff-Luton. The Warriors are 15-9 on the season.

That game will be the nightcap Tuesday, with a scheduled start time of 8:15.
