The Pella HyVee dropped off fruit for elementary students in the community as part of National Nutrition Month on Thursday.

HyVee Dietitian Samantha Thomas tells KNIA/KRLS News they stopped by Jefferson Intermediate School and Pella Christian Grade School to keep kids engaged in healthy eating habits.

“We were here for the ‘fruit bomb,’ and since March is National Nutrition Month, we wanted to provide a healthy snack to start [April] on a healthy foot,” she says.

This is the second year in a row the Pella HyVee has provided free fruit for students as part of National Nutrition Month.
