After back to back 7-15 seasons for the Pleasantville girl’s basketball team, the Trojans are looking to take a step forward for next season.

The squad loses a pair of seniors in Morgan Thorpe and Abbie McVay who will be missed, but a core trio of leading scorer Kelsee Van Haalen, Corinne Thomas, and Madyson Thill will all be returning. And unlike coming into this season, the post players won’t need time to adjust to the rigors of varsity basketball. Players taking huge steps forward this season in the post for Pleasantville include Kaylie Thomas and Jordan Dursky. Dursky led the squad in rebounds, while Thomas was a strong defensive presence and both scored 3.8 points per game. Head Coach Aaron Fichter told KNIA/KRLS Sports, that there are building blocks for the future on the squad. A full season recap can be heard this morning on the Knoxville Hyvee Radio Coaches Corner from 10-noon on KNIA and KRLS.
