The Pleasantville Trojan Girls Track and Field team competed in the Graceland University Jenner Invitational on Saturday.

A strong showing from Kasey Pelzer resulted in several top finishes for the Trojans, as she ended up in second in the 55m dash and in 5th in the 200m dash. Mel Johnson finished in 12th place in the 800 meter run, Tianna Torrejon placed 11th in the high jump, Sam Entinger finished 15th in the long jump, and the Trojans finished in 12th place overall out of an 18 team field. Head Coach Aaron Fichter told KNIA/KRLS Sports that it was good to have a chance to see the kids compete for the first time this season, and that he was happy with how they competed. The Trojans will get their outdoor season started on April 4th at Lynnville-Sully.
