The Central College men’s golf team traveled to Galena, Illinois Tuesday for the Loras College Spring Invitational and shot 310, placing third in the eight-team field. 

Sophomore Drew Mendoza finished tied for second in the 65-player field with 73 after losing in a playoff.

Senior Brock Morris also placed in the top 10, finishing seventh with 75.

Central travels to back to Illinois tomorrow, this time to Springfield, for the Weist Foundation Classic at Red Tail Golf Course. The classic is the final tune-up for the Dutch before the Iowa Conference tournament.
