Crossroads of Pella is hoping to inspire outgoing high school seniors in Marion County with words of wisdom from numerous adults in the community.

Director of Crossroads Jim Hibma says a special booklet features written anecdotes from numerous individuals in the area community, including Mayor Jim Mueller of Pella and Mayor Brian Hatch of Knoxville, Chair of Vermeer Mary Andringa, President Emeritus of Central Dr. Ken Weller, Jim Butler and Dr. Bob Leonard of KNIA/KRLS, numerous school administrators, and those recovering from addiction.

“I figured that’s kind of a nice balance, that you have not only successful people right out of the gate coming out of high school achieving goals, but you have people who’ve maybe had a bumpy road in life and now they’ve landed on their feet and trying to move forward,” Hibma says.

He is hopeful the graduating students will find the information useful as they take the next steps in their lives. Hibma says the booklets have been sent to each high school in the county.

The booklets were made possible through Marion County Community Foundation grants.
