Central’s baseball team found themselves on the wrong side of lady luck in their split with Nebraska Wesleyan Tuesday.

In game number two, despite numerous hard hit balls, Central dropped the game to the Prairie Wolves in 11 innings 6-4, as heard live on kniakrls.com. Head Coach Matt Schirm says numerous line drives turned into outs at pivotal moments in the game.

Central traded runs with Nebraska Wesleyan in an error-filled game one until a three-run seventh inning to take a 7-5 and added another in the eighth.

Iowa Conference Athlete of the Week Zach Brown continued to rake, going 4-for-8 including a double and an RBI. Brown extended his hitting streak to 11 games.

The Dutch continues league play Friday with a three-game series against conference leader Wartburg College. First pitch Friday is 6 p.m. and Saturday’s doubleheader begins at 1 p.m., which can be heard on 92.1 KRLS.
