The City of Knoxville and the JEO Consulting Group held the first of two sessions for the residents of Knoxville to provide input for the city of Knoxville comprehensive plan.

The session took place during the weekly Knoxville Rotary Club meeting inside the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame and Museum. The public was given a presentation that covered what Knoxville’s current status is as it relates to jobs, housing, population, economic development, and infrastructure. Clint Sloss, a JEO Consulting Group representative told the audience the session was a way to bring all ideas together and to create a more holistic view of the next 20 years. Following the presentation the audience was asked to post ideas to poster boards as well as take part in an interactive survey to help find ways to improve the city. If people were unable to attend today’s meeting, there will be a second evening meeting on Tuesday April 25th from 6 to 8 p.m. at the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame and Museum.
