Wet, cool weather is expected to settle in through Monday, with heavy rain possible throughout much of the area.

High chances for rain are in the forecast, with widespread totals expected between one to two inches and more possible in some locations by early next week.

Much cooler weather is also predicted with day-time highs topping out in the upper 40s. While other parts of the state may see frost to the north, none is expected in south central Iowa.
