The Knoxville Police Department and the Marion County Sheriff’s Office hit the track Saturday morning for some friendly competition and team building.

The two departments battled it out in front of a packed crowd at Slideways Karting Center. The event featured two teams of eight racers rubbing bumpers and trading laughs as the two departments showed their amateur racing skills. Chief Dan Losada and Sheriff Jason Sandholdt were witnessed during the racing, driving recklessly, speeding through a yellow light, and leaving the scene of multiple accidents with complete disregard of using a turn signal while making multiple left turns.
