Tuesday evening residents of Knoxville had another chance to voice their opinions during the second public input session for the Knoxville comprehensive plan.

Tuesday’s session began with a presentation about the current status of Knoxville and how it relates to jobs, housing, population, economic development and infrastructure. JEO Consulting Group along with the City of Knoxville conducted the event which included an interactive survey as well as different idea building stations so participants can share ideas of what the city can do to improve and grow. Lynn Dittmer, Senior Planner with JEO Consulting Group tells KNIA/KRLS News the purpose of the public input sessions is to gain understanding and input from the community to know what’s going on in the community beyond what the census data and profile data says. Dittmer adds, then we can build a roadmap that will help to improve the community and what participants want to focus on specifically.
