Coming off of their first loss of the 2017 season, Pella’s No. 2 girls soccer team had all they could handle with No. 13 Norwalk in a 3-2 double overtime victory Tuesday.

The Lady Dutch took an early lead on a Katie Vander Molen goal, before a Norwalk Penalty Kick knotted the score with four minutes until halftime. The Warriors struck again early in the 2nd period just four minutes in. Pella didn’t tie the contest until the 77th minute, when Ciara Buchheit’s corner kick set up Vander Molen to tie the game. Grace Held converted at 7:25 in overtime number two to give Pella the win.

The Lady Dutch have a rematch with ranked Nevada this Thursday in the Tulip City–the Cubs handed Pella their only loss last Saturday.
