On a beautiful day in Newton, the Cardinals bettered both the Pella and Pella Christian boys golf teams in a Little Hawkeye Conference triangular yesterday afternoon.

The hosts shot a 161, the Little Dutch were second with 174, and the Eagles carded a 179.

Pella freshman John Oltman was runner-up individually with a 40, his best score of the season, while Pella Christian’s Graham Howerzyl took fourth with a 43.
