The Pella and Pella Christian boys golf teams featured some of their best golf of the season at a loaded Oskaloosa Invitational Tuesday.

Pella placed 7th as a team (333) and the Eagles at 9th (344), both the lowest 18-hole team scores of the season so far in a field featuring seven of the top 23 teams in Class 3A boys golf. Graham Howerzyl’s 76 was good for 6th place overall, his 5th top ten finish in invitational formats this year. Pella was led by an 80 from John Oltman. Pella’s boys are back in action Thursday at Moravia, while the Eagles are preparing for the Conference tournament at Dallas Center Grimes on May 1st.

Pella’s three freshmen were the top three scores for the Dutch. John Oltman led the way for the 3rd meet in a row shooting a 40/40-80, followed by Trey Wood at 42/40-82, and Luke Galeazzi 44/41-85. The scoring for the Dutch was completed by Senior Ryan Van Wyk’s 45/41-86.
